Video by Jeff Bradt Video LLC
Travis Allison and his band are based in Charleston, SC and
fuse classic and roots rock, soul and country to forge their
signature sound. The TAB is a Five Piece variety party band that
performs a uniquely diverse song selection and features a lineup
including Travis on Piano/Organ/Guitar/Vocals, Saxophone,
Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass, Drums and multiple
Vocalists. The broad musical variety allows the band to ensure
something for everyone.
The Travis Allison Band's arsenal includes cover material
ranging from Classic Rock and Current Music to Motown, Beach,
Americana and everything in between. Many of the "covers" we
enjoy playing are listed below. Available for all types of
private or public events including weddings, corporate, college
and party functions, clubs, etc. TAB enjoys performing as Solo
Acoustic, Duo, Trio, 4 piece, 5 piece or 6 piece ensembles.
The Travis Allison Band has enjoyed performing throughout the
Southeast and beyond since 1996 playing shows as varied as
festivals and clubs to 500 guest ballroom weddings and renowned
acoustic singer-songwriter venues. Bandleader Travis Allison
grew up in Greenville, SC and holds a B.A./Music Degree from the
University of Richmond. He has been a full time professional
musician and songwriter since graduating in 1994. He has also
been a voting member of NARAS (votes on the GRAMMYS) since 1998.
The TAB has released five original albums available on iTunes
and their website. The Washington Post writes, "…the songs
benefit from the sheer quality of writing, whether the tale is
impassioned, introspective or inspiring." The latest album,
"Migrant Heart" features Edwin McCain.

Thank you so
much for playing at our wedding. You guys did an awesome
job! People were ranting and raving about you guys that
night and the next day. Even when we got back from the
honeymoon, people were still mentioning how much they liked the
'band'.
We
look forward to seeing you at your next show. Again,
you guys were exactly what we were looking for and we could not
have asked for a better band to play at our wedding.
Talk to you soon. Thanks,

Thanks for the follow up
email. The band was absolutely fabulous! Travis learned a new
song for our first dance and it turned out to be perfect. The
band did an awesome job with music selection and really kept the
guests dancing and having a great time! We had so many people
come up to us and ask who the band was and how we found them,
they really were a big hit! Thanks for your help and I plan on
sending Travis and the band an email as well.

I wanted to send you and the other members of the band a HUGE
thank you for making our wedding reception a wonderful event!
Not only did we thoroughly enjoy the band and all of your great
music, but so did our friends, parents, grandparents, and every
other relative/guest at the reception. I cannot tell you the
number of compliments we received about y'all - you were the
talk of the night (other than me of course :)!
We especially appreciate your
learning 2 new songs just for us - it really personalized the
music for us. Your renditions of the Meters' "Ain't No Use" and
SCI's "Smile" were great - and a huge hit with us and our
friends. We were concerned about our wedding music, as we feel
that a "typical" wedding band tends to be on the cheesy
side, but y'all were exactly what we wanted - a non-cheesy
wedding band!! (Who knew one existed?!) We were very impressed
and pleased with y'all's talent and energy throughout the
evening.
We would be happy to recommend
your band to anyone, and please feel free to share our words
and contact information with anyone seeking a reference. We wish
you and the rest of the band continued success in your musical
endeavors!
Thank you again,
Bevin and Blair Googer
The band
was fabulous. Travis Allison is very professional and talented

much- ya'll were awesome and EVERYONE enjoyed you guys so much!
I got so many compliments about the band! I definitely put
the word out for ya! It was such a wonderful evening and
the entertainment was top notch! A night we will never forget!
I hope ya'll had fun as well!
We will definitely see you
around and let us know where you’re playing so we can come and
see you- we listened to the CD while we were in Jamaica!
Good stuff man!
Thank you again so much!
Ya'll are the best!

We've not been back too long
from the honeymoon, but I am going to be sending you all a
formal letter of thanks. For now this will have to do.
I just want you to know that my
husband and I were hoping our wedding would be one that everyone
would always remember and just have fun at. We got that and
more. We've been married for 6 weeks now, and people cannot stop
talking about how much fun it was and how great the band was. We
have heard more remarks about the band than anything else.
I cannot praise you enough.
We did not give you any play
lists but you could tell from the crowd what would get everyone
going. I am so glad I went with my gut choice and I can't thank
you enough for making our wedding so special. A fun
thought...The next morning we went to say goodbye to some of our
friends and they were limping they had danced so much.
We will definitely be hiring
you again for a party! I will send you some pictures. Thanks so
much for everything!!!
Jennifer DiPasquale
Thanks so much - you guys were
awesome. We had a blast - so, did all of our guests - they were
raving about you guys. I told Mike recently that I am
dying to go to Charleston again - I love that city. We
will definitely get in touch with you if we do.
Christa :-)
To quote an acclaimed band you
guys "rocked the kasbah".
Seriously, both bands were perfect for each night. Several
people commented on how good the TAB was on Friday night…
Couldn't
have been better. Two thumbs up. I'll be sure to
give you a call for my next gig, don't know when that will be
though...

Thanks for everything, it all
went perfectly. I heard my friends were trying to get you to
play for an extra hour after we left. That's always a good sign.
Jennifer and I will definitely make it to some shows this summer
now that everything has calmed down. Thanks again, the band was
perfect.

Andy – the Travis Allison band
could not have been better. They were perfect. They
were so nice, friendly, and they sounded awesome too. They
were very easy to contact, and were easy to work with. I
didn’t want to leave! All of my friends and family raved
about them too – and everyone was dancing, and thoroughly
enjoying the music. They played all of our favorite songs,
and they helped make our reception a perfect party.
Thank you for your help with
them – I will refer Travis Allison to anyone who asks, or even
if they don’t ask!!!
Thanks again-
Meredith
Travis, y'all were awesome!
Your band was really everything I envisioned and more for the
wedding and the whole feel I wanted to create...it was just
perfect. THANK YOU for doing such an incredible job! Please tell
your band thanks too! I can't tell you how many people told me
how much they enjoyed yall and how much they enjoyed something
other than the "typical wedding band"....you knew when to play
what and I'm just sorry I couldn't be out there from the
beginning so I could have heard everything...what a small world
that you and Bobby did have a connection after all through David
Warren. We really will come see you play anytime you are in
Charlotte or nearby...we'll bring a crew with us too so be sure
to let us know. I hate that I never got to come give you a hug
and thank you...or even meet you and introduce myself! Although,
I'm sure it wasn't hard to figure out I was the bride! I hope
y'all had fun too! Jekyll is just such a special place! Thanks
again and send me your schedule when you get a chance. I'll
email you before we come to Charleston this summer to see if
you're playing...oh, and thanks for sticking some slower songs
in there toward the end for my parents!

Hi Hank,
Travis and the band members
were fantastic. Just as we had hoped they were able to cover an
array of different taste. Most importantly, the groom was
thrilled with their ability to do Widespread Panic justice. The
groomsmen commented that this was the first time they had danced
to a Widespread song in a tux. My daughter and husband were
thrilled and the dance floor was jammed all night. They were
great. Thanks for sending them our way.
Nancy
I want to
thank you so much for playing at the reception. I knew you would
be good, but I was extremely pleasantly surprised at how great
you were! Ya'll kept our crowd constantly moving on the dance
floor, you followed our song selection recommendations and
really had a feel for what the audience wanted. I also want to
thank you for learning Chairmen of the Board's "Give me a little
more time." It is one of Vanessa and my favorite songs and your
version of it was great. A lot of our friends told us later how
much fun the reception was, and mentioned without fail that our
band was "The best wedding band they had ever seen." My father
is a huge music lover, musician, singer and beach music
enthusiast and his quote was "That’s the best party band I've
seen!" I can't give you a better compliment than that. Again,
thank you for coming down to Savannah, the fact that we didn't
have to worry about band set-up or take-down or sound and
lighting was a relief during an otherwise hectic day.
Lynn Tootle
The band was
perfect at the wedding. People are still talking about how much
they enjoyed you. Please keep us posted on your shows. We would
love to come.

Hey Andy!
The Travis Allison Band was great. It was just what I wanted - I
was thrilled I went with my gut on this one. Tyler thinks it was
the best wedding music he has ever heard and I got lots of
similar compliments from guests. I thought Matt Hills (remember
him?) was going to wet himself when they started playing a
Grateful Dead song and then followed up not long after with a
Phish song. I had emailed Travis before the wedding and gave him
some songs I did want to hear and some bands I liked to hear and
he did a great job with that. We tried to get them to come and
hang out at the after-party - Catherine Jennings even gave them
the directions - but they didn't show. I can imagine they didn't
want to hang out with a bunch of randoms. :)
All in all,
a wonderful experience. You were super helpful and great to work
with. Speaking of Catherine - I hear she and Will are working
with you for their wedding. I'll be making the trip to C'ville
for that one. She was so surprised to hear that so many of us
had worked with you (Jeff Richman and Sean Fogarty were both at
the wedding too). Small world! :)
Anyway,
thank you again for all your help. Once things settle down a bit
I fully intend to send a note to the band to thank them for
doing such a great job.
Talk to you soon,
Allison Snodgrass Horton
